Job Description
As a school counselor, you will be part of the overall student health team that works proactively and preventively in collaboration with teachers for the benefit of students, as well as provide consultation and guidance to work teams, class teams, and individual educators regarding students or groups. The work includes providing psychosocial interventions directly aimed at individuals or groups of students. It also includes being responsible for monitoring and following up on students with high absenteeism, meeting students in both planned and spontaneous conversations, conducting presentations in classes on various topics, and maintaining contact with guardians and external agencies such as social services and child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP).

You should also have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good digital competence. It is important that you can quickly familiarize yourself with and manage the digital systems used in the organization.
We prefer candidates with experience working as a school counselor, as this is an advantage for the position.
As a person, you are calm and stable and maintain control even in stressful situations. You have the ability to keep a realistic perspective and focus on what is most important, even when a lot is happening at the same time. You are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. You easily create new contacts and build long-term relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
Furthermore, you have a good empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations without taking over their feelings. This way, you create safety and trust in your interactions with others. You communicate clearly, articulately, and engagingly – both in individual conversations and in smaller or larger groups. You listen actively, are receptive to others' needs, and adapt your communication style according to the situation and person.
